Is it just me that I don’t see Rapunzel as one of the original Disney princesses?

I just think Rapunzel really stands out from being part of Disney in general. First of all, she’s the first among the princesses to be computer animated and not hand drawn and it doesn’t have enough originality. I mean, she came from a well known story that a lot of people already know about from their childhood. Usually, when a Disney movie comes out it’s something we’ve never heard, seen, or thought of before. I don’t exactly know how to pin point it but if I hadn’t known that it was from Disney, I would have never guessed it to be, I would’ve been surprised.

Other than the fact that I don’t see it as one of the original Disney movies, I really love the movie, don’t get me wrong. I just happen to take my Disney stuff seriously, not hating at all. Just standing up for my childhood.
