Vibrato

Damn how I miss being in a choir. Whenever we’d sing in a group I would always focus on myself to perfect that vibrato even though we weren’t allowed to at certain parts of a song. I remember how good it felt just being able to sing out and enjoy it without people thinking I’m crazy. I mean, I sing at home but not on blast how everyone in the house would hear me. Believe it or not, it’s harder to sing while staying quiet than to sing out loud or at a moderate volume. The vocal muscles tend to strain if I try doing a vibrato at a lower volume. But man, when I’m alone in the house, I sing all I want. The type of songs I love to sing are pop, R&B, ballad, hip hop, pop, etc., especially broadway such as Disney songs (they are broadway, aren’t they?!). Yeah, I would say my type of voice or the type of vocal technique I love using is broadway. I might sound crazy but there’s definitely a big ass difference between broadway and the rest of the genres. I love using vibrato on a broadway song like “A Whole New World”, “Part of Your World” and others like “It Only Takes a Moment”. The hardest part in singing though is getting through a perfect warm up session. A perfect session would let you hit almost any note perfectly, not to mention nice vibrato control and a clearer voice. That was my favorite thing to do in choir. Damn, I miss being on stage. I’m just gonna try to keep it simple/minimal so I’ll just end it here :]
